Get To Know Me
Thank you for checking out the Great Basin Challenge. My name is Brett Marciasini. I'm an avid outdoorsman that loves to bag peaks, fish for trout, and hunt big game. I call Northern California home; however, I hate it with a passion. That is why you will find me on the road most of the time and out in the Great Basin region as much as possible. Hopefully it will become my actual home someday!
I started the Great Basin Challenge as a way to get all of the top Nevada peak baggers together. Climbing out in this region can be extremely lonely and very hard to find partners. It seems like there are quite a few members on PeakBagger that adventure out to these peaks regularly, so the interest was there to build something like this.
I'm looking forward to finally meeting so many of the names that I see log these peaks and have offered a lot of the beta I use.
I'm currently chasing the Great Basin Peak List and Nevada P2K Lists as my top priorities.
I am a father of two teenagers; my son loves to climb with me and is a bad ass on the mountain. I'm also an avid sports person and am fan of the Green Bay Packers, Texas Rangers, St. Louis Blues, and Boise St and Wisconsin sports. One of my other favorite things to do is watch live music, particularly indie country music, southern rock, and 90s metal.
